Prayer is many things. For me, it is a form of spiritual discipline. Prayer helps me focus and makes me feel grounded. That mystical feeling that connects one with God is often facilitated by prayer. I believe that healing (spiritual/psychological healing) happens when a person feels connected to God in this way.
